Circumventing Trapping Laws

How does one practice primitive traps in suburbia?

I have perfected a new primitive trap. It's easy, reliable, and allows for great conservation of energy.

It's my cat Alex. I send him out. He stalks, scurries, pounces, and proudly brings to my feet a freshly snared baby bunny. Now I must be honest, convincing him that I get all the glory of skinning is a bit of a challenge, but how else is a girl going to practice these skills?

So now I have one slightly mangled hide all scraped and drying, and four (very small) lucky rabbit feet.

This is also a successful method for hunting chipmunks. (Although they usually spend some time running around the house before the final kill.)

Plant "Recipes" Please!

Hey all,
So how's the month going so far? Working on that bowdrill? Remember that matches are quickly becoming a thing of the past for your 10-minute fire drills!
You guys have been doing such amazing work with edible plants over the last couple of months -- yay you! -- and Eddie & I think it would be great to make a more permanent, available record of all the different things you've tried, liked, and disliked.
So...
We'd really like to post here all the different plants you've all used, and how you prepared them so that everyone else can try them as well. When you have a free moment please e-mail me your plant lists, how you prepared and if you liked/disliked the preparation. I'll compile all the different uses and list them all here. Sound okay?
Looking forward to checking them all out!
Eddie & Julie
