Weekend #3 is Almost Here!

Hey all,
Can't believe how long the grass is AGAIN! It's been a pretty amazing spring around here so far -- over the last week the leaves have really burst onto the trees, and we've been doing some serious "yard foraging" for all the chickweed, dandelion, violets, cresses and more that are growing all over. Hope you've been having as much tasty fun as we have!
We spent last weekend at the Whittingham Traditional Archery Rendezvous in north Jersey, where we had an extremely productive weekend and met all kinds of folks from around this area for the first time. If only we'd gotten some shooting in as well!
We did pick up some new bows and arrows though, so be prepared for some major archery next steps on Saturday. Finally time to learn about aim.
We'll also be working on survival bows, so you'll have your own bows to take home and practice with next month. So here's the rundown for the weekend...
Be sure to arrive before 9am on Friday and head out to your sit spots -- there will ALOT of changes to observe since last month!
Here's what you need to bring along this time around:
  • Fire Kit (in your beautifully woven fire bag)
  • Plant Press & ID Sheets
  • Needle Files
  • Cabinet Scraper
  • Copper Boppers
  • Flex Bow
  • Trap Parts
  • Clay your processed
  • Pots you made
  • Knife, notebooks and pens
If you've got any questions about last months topics and projects, we will once again be debriefing on Friday morning, as well as going over the new plants that you learned about.
Looking forward to seeing you all in a couple of days!
